About RKA + D
Resh Kuypers is a Chartered Architect based in Thame, Oxfordshire. She has been working directly in the Architecture and Construction industry since 2005.
In 2014 Resh completed a remodelling and renovation project on a 1970s family home, specifying spatial and thermal updates to bring the house up to date. In so doing the house was made useable for the needs of a modern family. The resultant transformation and benefit to the client sparked a recognition that smart, well planned design ideas have a significant impact on a homeowner's space needs – and that the same principles apply, whatever the size of residence – from the smallest cottage to larger detached houses. And thus the idea of RKA+D was formed.
Prior to establishing RKA+D, Resh gained a breadth of industry knowledge from projects spanning across multiple construction sectors. Projects varied from designing a large bespoke detached house to leading a design team on a brand new primary school to serve the residents of a new mass housing development in Banbury, Oxfordshire. Resh has also been involved in the design and detail of major and minor projects on Gatwick Airport, and a new office building for CERN that was located directly in front of the Large Hadron Collider, on the Franco-Swiss border. Resh is experienced in working within all of the RIBA stages.
